The overall ambience of a place is a combination of smells , sounds, tastes and sight. We have many different things here at the station - an eclectic mix of old and new but the secret is the stories of each and everyone of our pieces .
There is heart and soul in the many special pieces here at the station.
We have had many workaways and Woofers who have created something here and left their stamp on the place .
We are so delighted and overwhelmed to have a very special piece of furniture made for us by a regular guest and friend .
It is specially for the Writers Retreat and it adds so much to the space in a practical manner and a wistful and whimsical way.
Thank you for this magical gift to the station , full of heart and created with love ...fits here perfectly.

About Us Graham and Liz own and run Dalmally Railway Station. The village of Dalmally is near Loch Awe in Scotland. Dalmally Station is on the Oban branch of Scotland’s picturesque West Highland Line; originally part of the Callender and Oban Railway. Dalmally’s setting amidst mountains, lochs and wildlife makes it a perfect destination. Photograph of Graham and Liz courtesy of Gary C. Brown. Used with permission.
