We have been delighted to receive a wonderful letter from a lovely lady who has great memories of spending time with her Grandfather  here at Dalmally Station .
Laurence Hamilton was a very well thought of man .
We have heard lots of stories of his kindness to many travellers and locals alike.
He was very good at gardening and kept the planters and baskets filled with colour throughout the season wining many prizes
The best gift for us was the photos carefully looked out for us .
Such a joy to look into the happy past of the stations history and share the memories with those who bring it alive .
Thank you Ibs

"Thank you so much for saving it. Dalmally and the station holds a very dear and special place in my heart and in the hearts of all my family. I hope to come up on day to visit one day. Here are a few pictures I found of the station, my Grandfather and me, 1984-86 roughly. I wish you both all best for the future"

Like Ibs said, thanks for rescuing the station, one day I’m going to bring my girls up and show them their great grandad’s station.

About Us Graham and Liz own and run Dalmally Railway Station. The village of Dalmally is near Loch Awe in Scotland. Dalmally Station is on the Oban branch of Scotland’s picturesque West Highland Line; originally part of the Callender and Oban Railway. Dalmally’s setting amidst mountains, lochs and wildlife makes it a perfect destination. Photograph of Graham and Liz courtesy of Gary C. Brown. Used with permission.
